The Independent Audiobook Awards is pround to be part of The HEAR Now Festival, which takes place every June in Kansas City, MO. The 2020 Festival dates are June 12-14. 

The Awards will be held Friday, June 12th at 8:30 pm

Bragg Auditorium (across the street from the Festival Hotel) 





The Independent Audiobook Awards & The HEAR Now Festival take place every June in Kansas City, MO.

Festival events take place throughout the city, but are mostly centered around the Country Club Plaza area, where the main hotel for the event is located (see below)

The Awards Ceremony will take place at the Bragg Auditorium (inside the All Souls Unitarian Universalist Church), across the street from the hotel. An after party will be held at the Simpson House next door (also part of All Souls).

 Getting There 

By Car:

Kansas City is 3.5 hours west of St. Louis, MO, 4 hours northeast of Tulsa, OK, and 3 hours south of Des Moines​, IA. 

By Air:

Kansas City International Airport (MCI) is approximately 30 minutes north of the Festival location.

By Train:

Amtrak offers a direct route between St. Louis and Kansas City.

The HEAR Now Festival will reserve a block of rooms at discounted price with The Holiday Inn Country Club Plaza. Once tickets go on sale that link will be available at the HEAR Now website and we will post a link directing you there. 

There are many other hotels in the area availble nearby. Check back here soon for more information. 

 Local Transportation 

Kansas City is very easy to navigate, for those of you bringing your own vehicle. If you don't have a car or aren't comfortable driving in a new city, don't worry. You will have plenty of transportation options.

Getting to the HEAR Now events won't be a problem at all.

The Independent Audiobook Awards ceremony will be held directly across the street from The Holiday Inn Country Club Plaza.  Many of the HEAR Now festival event are held in the hotel or across the street as well. There will be a free shuttle provided to take attendees to festival events a bit farther away.

Planning to check out local food, shopping, and attractions?

The free hotel shuttle can also take you to local restaurants, shopping, or any other activity nearby. Additionally, Kansas City has bus service, taxies, and Uber and Lyft services.
